Today back thur yesterday morning

Saturday -I left Kingman and it gets harder and harder to do with gma so sick - she has this look in her eyes that my mom used to look at me with more like a pleading not to go; if I could just go stay with them thru this I would be there in a second but I do have the best looking husband in Holbrook and I have responsibilities here also.

I got to Flagstaff and the roads were closed do to the winds blowing 70 mph AGAIN so I went on a little tour up thru the reservation and came out at second mesa turn off right on to I40 and then home. It was pretty up near the mountains and I enjoyed the drive gave me some time to slow down enjoy the sceanery and forget about my worries for the day.

Sat - evening I got some clippers in the mail and I thougth I would just clip Moroni and oh my gosh I had to run him to Karen's so that she could kinda straighten out what I did. Moroni was so patient with me while I was totally messing up his "Grand Champion" Hair. I guess you use the #30 on his face not his body - oops; at least I did not injure him with the clippers cause he still likes me.

Sunday - Wow this was the best sabbath we went to the Holbrook Stake Center to watched President Monson and his counselors dedicate the Gila Valley Temple it was amazing! President Monson did a fantastic job the choir was awesome the hole dedication was special.

Then we had to go call a locksmith to come and unlock our keys (3 sets) that were locked in the car :-)....

Kingman Az Visit

Hello, I am blogging from Kingman Az - I had the opportunity to spend time with my dad and Mary on his 71st birthday we had a wonderful time. Lisa's family called and they all sang Happy Birthday it was cool to see his eyes light up even though he told all of them not to quit their day job's (LOL).

This chemo treatment for sh-ma (not sure on spelling means mom in Navajo) is having a really rough go about this round. Having a hard time she has no appetite and is so nauseated just the thougth of food makes her sick, she is sleeping most of the time or coughing until she vomits. Dad is hanging in there but you can really see the worry on his face and he is just unsure on how to help.

All prayers will be appreciated.

Love to all from Kingman, Az..

Backward Tuesday

Hi I am going to try and do some catch up on some amazing time that we have had up until now.

We went to Phx for Kaylynn wedding and had a wonderful time with Steven and Felicia; we were only going to stay one night and ended up staying 3 but we were just having so much fun we had a hard time leaving.

Kaylynn's sealing in the Mesa Temple was so nice and she looked absolutely beautiful her new hubby is a cutie. Kaylynn's reception was full of cookies, chocolate, food, chocolate, punch and more chocolate; oh did I mention they had chocolate m&m's :-).

We all went and watched JC softball team play for about 20 minutes the team they were playing had to be done by 7:30 because it started the sabbath for them (I sure respected those girls for forfeiting and heading home to begin their sabbath)

I sure enjoyed spending time with Steven & Felicia they are doing well and seem to just enjoy each other; can you imagine that? LOL

Hope everyone has a wonderful breezy day..

Fern's Home

Well we headed out to Fern's with all intentions on getting her internet up and running along with her pump that supplies water to her house & livestock. So after climbing out on her roof thru one of her bedroom windows and resetting her modem along with everything I could think of that didn't work - so out to the pump house to check on Steve and well he switched the wiring, took the pump apart and the impeller fell out (not a good sign) then we took the check valve out that is in-between the well and the pump and looks like it was also stuck (not a good sign). Then Fern and Howard fed us the most wonderful meal - steak, potatoes, salad, bread, corn on the cob - it was delicious.

They are headed over tomorrow so we can go to Snowflake (Steve, Fern & Howard) to see whats up with the pump. I am headed to Kingmon :-)

Thats it for now, cause its 22:37..

Aaron & Ang

Oh my gosh just got off the phone with Aaron and Angela and as you all know he deploys for a year to Afghanistan and Ang - Baylee & Jessica are in Germany.

Ang and I were talking and she told me that she had to fill out a bunch of papers for Aaron's memorial in the event he doesn't make it back - WELL LET ME TELL you I about lost it. To all you wives, children, parents and siblings who have forged the path before us you are all amazing...

To you my military sons Aaron & Eric and nephew Robert I thank you from my soul for serving and protecting god's country the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. May God watch over you Aaron and your comrades.

Picture is of Aaron when he did took an Egyptian jumper on a jump..

I love you,
Mom

Its Monday - May 17 2010

O.K. just got finished running 3 miles and this crazy dog still wants to play...

We are headed to Fern's house tonight so Steve can work on her pump (well) so they can have water - wow I sure do take all the simple things of life for granted like turning on the faucet and getting water. We have so many friends out in Indianwells who have to haul their water and its is a precious commodity to them. In fact I think I am flooding the flowers right now as I speak.

Today I am doing a little better when it comes to WHERE ARE MY KIDS AND WHERE ARE MY GRANDKIDS. Who would have ever thought everyone would be so far away.

I am having a super hard time with Aarons family being in another country but what a wonderful experience it is going to be for them and hey we are working on our passports so we will be there when he comes home from Afghanistan.

Well here come the tears so I am gonna go eat some "Chocolate"

Love to each of you..

Can you believe its May 16, 2010

I have really been slacking as far as keeping up with our blog so I am determined to get it caught up and then some. LOL

I will start with us and then go backwards with each of the kids and grandkids.

Steve was called as the branch President out in Indian Wells and we have had one wonderful spiritual experience after another.

Steve has an amazing way with people and he just fits right in with everyone and everyone just loves him. He can get a spiritual message across without accusation or making you feel inferior.

We have many wonderful strong saints out at Indian Wells and they have just helped us fit right in we have learned so much and have so much more to learn.

We have two wonderful Missionary Couples living out in the "Elders" Trailer and without them we would be paddling up a tsunami without life jackets.

Sister Hugo has our Wed activities (sewing, canning) going without a hitch and brother Hugo is just amazing with how easy it is to be around him plus he is our all around fix it guy....

We had our 3rd Sunday pot luck and we had a wonderful time it just gets easier and easier to feel like we belong (I always have :-)) I have always loved the branch's they are humble and very happy by nature.

Well thats all for today, much to catch up on so see ya tomorrow..

Love to all..
