July 18, 2010

Well we headed to church out in Indianwells this is where we are currently serving (Steve is the branch president) I am just enjoying the members :-)...

Today I took Elizabeth to Primary and this particular day it was just Liz and I; so Liz set up all the little primary chairs and put an animal or doll on each chair then we got a handful of primary pictures and I explained to Liz what each one was and she turned around and explained it to each of the "children" and she took the picture around to each of "them" so they could see it - talk about precious moments.

Snack time she took a paper towel and put one on each chair and we put chocolate gram cookies on each one for the "children", we taught them I am a Child of God then we got the crayons out and we colored Samuel and talked about how when the lord called him he said here am I.

Then we went to Joe City and Liz had a blast playing with Kristen boy's on the trampoline and jumping in the water - gpa was irrigating his lawns.

Fun filled day - Chat latter

July 16, 2010 Nikke & Lizzie

Left Katie's on Friday July 16th and flew to Pittsburg Pa to pick up Lizzie for a month yes a month you talk about one excited grandma.... I tried hard to get Rhyen to come along but she wasn't sure about leaving her little family yet.

I arrived at the airport and we were off and running from the time I landed well I am still running and we are half way into our little vacation with Lizzie.

We started at the Pittsburg Children's Museum and this was one big museum filled with fun fun fun and more fun. The little stinker had me climbing thru a maze and I heard one of the parents ask is that lady stuck? Yep I almost thought I was a couple of times.

The evening was filled with as much adventure we went to the mall and hit every shoe store there looking for some high heel shoes for miss Elizabeth well Nikki ended up buying her one of those stuffed animals that you can accessorize this particular stuffed animal is a white horse with such a cute little pink outfit.

We stayed at the LaQuinta and chatted the evening away - then Liz and I left in the morning for Phx Arizona where we were going to meet grandpa Steve Miller who was flying from Concord N.H.

To Lizzie surprise Jessica, James, J.J. & Jesse met us at the airport it was pretty cool.

I promised Nikki I would blog daily and our computer has been in the shop for a week so I will do my best to catch up.

Concord, N.H.

Little more on our vacation to see the Bell family :-)

We went to the children's museum and had such a fun time - I think Rhyen knows this place from corner to corner. We had so much fun leaving our shadows on the walls, to blowing huge gigantic bubbles, pulling and racing ourselves up chairs (of course Rhyen won she ways less ha ha ha).

Some of the funnest times were just our simple walks down to the local grocery mart for a Popsicle. Rhyen explained to us all the little ins and outs during our treasured walks.

We went swimming, picked berries, played on the play ground, played chutes and ladders oh sometime if your talking to Rhyen ask her about that sticking cup cake (game we played).

It was so hard to leave but at the same time its nice to know that this little family is following our prophets counsel with family scripture teaching these little ones to love one another.

Off to meet our newest grand-daughter Jude and of course Rhyen

We arrived in Concord N.H. July 5th - yes on Rhyen's 5th birthday it was a very warm sunny day with the humidity at 160% LOL. Wow it was so wonderful to see Uilliame drive up with Rhyen in the back seat; even though we haven't seen the for a year watching Rhyen seemed like it was just yesterday.

We had a wonderful time with Uilliame, Kate, Rhyen & Jude - each day was a new adventure and each day I was so impressed with Kate and her mothering ability. Rhyen is very head strong but Kate has a wonderful way of teaching her how to make her own choices.

Jude is an absolute delight - Grandpa says all she does is eat, sleep and poop with a tinkle in his eyes. Of course from a grandma's eyes I saw changes in her every minute of the day and we had her smiling before we left. I cherished the time that I was able to help Kate by holding this precious gift from our Heavenly Father oh wow can you feel the presence of the Holy Ghost with these new little ones. I asked Jude to pass on how thankful we are for her....
