Travel Time
Well on the plane we had to try out the bathroom at least twice and we had our ice water, ginger ale, snacks watched a movie and played Liz Dora on her D.S.
We arrived in Pittsburgh and Nikki was there waiting at our gate - Liz saw her mom and instantly all her sadness of leaving the "boys" was gone she lit up the entire place.
I had about an two hours before my plane returned back to Arizona so we went to baggage picked up Liz bag in which she wheeled out to the car. We came back in and had lunch and then they walked me to security.
Lizzie said grandma are you going to cry? I could see the tears welled up in her eyes and I said yep I am going to cry all the way back to Arizona. I love this precious little girl and her mom Nikki - I am so grateful for Nikki letting us share this wonderful month with Lizzie here in Arizona along with all the precious memories that we now have.
So the drive home is nothing to talk about - lots of tears and sniffles.
The long road home....
We headed to Phoenix -- this was a super duper emotional day for all of us - as we said our goodbyes yep we even went to Denny's were Aunt Jessica gave Liz rootbeer and chocolate M&M's we headed out of town.... ummm about Christopher Creek Elizabeth decided that she "needed to go back home so she could hug the boys" and stay for a few more days. I asked her what about mommy and she said well she can just move next door but I really like my house but and then she was just crying those big crocodile tears did me in as if I needed any help to begin with. Liz grabbed her daddy doll, blankie covered her head and was sobbing into the daddy doll, I miss my daddy, I want to go back to grammie house, I miss my mommy and lucky dog. Then she snoozed for a little while.
We arrived in Phoenix our first stop is go go and meet Uncle Steven (who hasn't seen Liz since she was born) and Aunt Felicia. Elizabeth was a little nervous until I told her that they had 2 beautiful dogs named Red and Tuck (this little one just loves animals and it doesn't matter if they are dogs, cats, turtles, horses, goats you name it and she will have them following her and of course they will all have a name LOL..
Elizabeth asked me is Aunt Felicia pretty and I said Oh yes she is and then she asked well is Uncle Steven pretty ha ha ha.
We had a wonderful visit.....
Then we headed to our motel and Lizzie was on a picture mission she took ummm over 1000 pictures before the end of the day.. I was able to save a few of um..
We took our bath, went and got ice for our ice water that we thought we needed to rinse before we should drink it and got some sleep....
Girl Time
O.K. after a hard day of playing and wrestling with the "BOYS" Lizzie decided it was time a little GIRL TIME out came Ariana fingernail polish and to town Liz went. Liz painted all of her toenails and her fingernails - but of course she was sitting right next to Aunt Jessica who was also polishing her nails LOL.
Fantastic job Liz...

Kingman Visit
Kingman Arizona here we come – We are excited to meet Great Grandpa (Bob Baker my dad). We headed out on Wednesday and stopped at the Deer Farm located right off I-40 a couple of miles before Williams. Oh my as soon as we walked in thru the first gate I should have known we were in over our heads – one of those cute little deer’s escaped yep escaped at least he only made it thru the first set of gates. Well after lots of coaxing we got the bugger back in with the rest of his friends. Then the fun started these cute big brown eyed demons know who has cups of food and who doesn’t they come a running and a few times I couldn’t even see Elizabeth she was engulfed with deer. J Once I persuaded Lizzie out from the deer (she named everyone of them) we went and saw a camel, buffalo, miniature horses, miniature cows, monkeys, birds, then into the goat pens we went… Here again Lizzie named each one and she of course had her favorites. We just had so much fun. We finally arrived at grandpa by ummm 7:00 p.m. grandpa was fast asleep on the couch I think he thought we were gonna stay the night with the goats J
The first night Lizzie settled in and pretty much stayed right by myside and let me tell you I was just in Heaven… Oh how I love my grandkids… Well Lizzie finally let grandpa play ball with her and then they were pals but she still wanted to go home to my husband’s house ha ha ha I would ask her you mean to grandpa Steve Miller’s and she would say yes to your husband’s house – she is just so funny.
Well after a few days we headed home but first we had some sightseeing to do; our first stop was called Beararizona this was a private owned sanctuary for bears but we drove thru several gated areas that had buffalo, sheep, burrows and when we reached the bear area we had to keep all of our windows rolled up for security but these bears were not interested in us in the least bitJ. We parked at the junior animal section and watched a couple of baby cub’s play and wolves pups. Here we watched one of the black bear cub climb down a tree and the brown cub had to be rescued from the cement barrier.
Our next stop was the Grand Canyon this is one of my favorite places to visit I am just in awe over the magnitude and beauty; Lizzie said Grammie how do we get to the river? Well at least I have a couple of pictures of her so someday she can say I’ve been there. LOL Lizzie did want to climb down the canyon (crazy girl) but I calmly told her we don’t have on the right shoes to go climbing and she was o.k. with that whew…
Well we headed home the scenic route from the Grand Canyon we ended up behind the San Francisco Peaks wow it was a beautiful drive when we hit about 8000 elevation Lizzie saw these “white trees” ( ) and agreed to have her picture taken next to one of um. We spent some time picking flowers, and well you’ll have to ask Lizzie what she got to do OUTSIDE (potty).
